About the Event

Delivering Sensory Circuits in Mainstream Schools

2-Hour Twilight CPD Session

This practical and engaging twilight CPD session is designed to support teachers, teaching assistants, SENDCos, and school staff in confidently delivering sensory circuits within a mainstream school environment. Sensory circuits are structured movement-based activities that help children regulate their sensory systems, improve focus and concentration, and prepare for learning throughout the school day.

During this two-hour session, participants will gain a clear understanding of the purpose and benefits of sensory circuits, alongside practical guidance on how to successfully implement them in a busy mainstream setting. The training will explore the different stages of a sensory circuit — alerting, organising, and calming activities — and how these can be adapted to meet the needs of a wide range of pupils, including those with sensory processing differences, additional needs, or difficulties with regulation and attention.
