PE Schemes of Work: Elevating Your PE Offer

Schemes of work in PE have enabled staff to deliver PE with increased confidence, enabling teachers to deliver core PE content to their classes. At the same time, staff delivering PE have lost key essential skills to deliver high quality meaningful PE. This practical session will look at how we can elevate PE for Staff and students, and develop pedagological skills to enhance and accelerate learning in PE for ALL students.

We will look at a range of PE Approaches / Schemes of work within this session to explore different approaches and look at how to enhance and elevate provision.

The training will look at how we can Plan-Teach & Assess with greater meaning and relevance to all pupils in our classes - creating more inclusive PE practice using adaptive teaching methods to support the learning needs of all learners.

The session will be delivered through active theoretical elements, alongside practical activity to model better practice, and will support ALL teachers to plan / teach and assess better to accelerate the progress of their pupils.

Target Audience: PE Subject leads / Any teacher-TA/HLTA with responsibility for teaching PE.
