About the Event
Dave Rayner (Aquatic Competency Development Lead at Swim England) will be delivering a mini-teach session on practical ways to incorporate water safety into a dry-side classroom or playground setting before taking pupils to the swimming pool.
During the session, he will share simple, engaging activities and teaching ideas that help children understand key water safety messages, recognise potential hazards, and build confidence around water. The aim is to provide schools with practical approaches that can easily be incorporated into everyday learning and help prepare pupils for swimming lessons.
Dave will also host a Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas. If you have any questions you'd like covered, please send them to us in advance so Dave can prepare accordingly.”
