This course allows school staff/helpers to plan and evaluate session plans in line with the national curriculum

COURSE CONTENT

This programme will help you to understand:

· How to Identify activities that will positively impact students learning

· Engage with pupils, helping them to progress

· Key Stages 1 and 2 programmes of study

· Health and safety considerations of organising and delivering a school swimming programme

How swimming and water safety can be delivered to meet school swimming outcomes

PREREQUISITES: You must be at least 18 years of age

COURSE DELIVERY (Model of delivery tbc by Tutor)

1. Face to Face : This will be delivered over 2 days at a venue with a tutor at the site. The course theory takes place in a seminar room, you will then go to the pool for your practical work, lesson delivery and assessment. 2. Blended Learning: This course will start online through interactive e-learning which will take up to 8 hours to complete. You will then complete 1 day at the venue, there is some theory content to cover in a seminar room before your practical work, lesson delivery and assessment pool-side.
