Delivering Effective Support Within PE Lessons
This practical 2.5-hour CPD session will explore how teaching assistants can provide effective, purposeful support within PE lessons, helping all pupils to participate, learn and make progress.
The session will consider the TA’s role before, during and after PE, including strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs, adapting activities and instructions, developing independence, managing behaviour and using effective questioning and feedback.
Through practical activities, discussion and real-life scenarios, TAs will leave with a range of simple, effective strategies they can apply immediately within PE lessons.
